2019 - 2020 SCHOLARSHIP

The gift of Education

The Anna J. Cooper Scholarship Fund is a privately-funded scholarship program that provides college-bound graduating seniors experiencing homelessness with financial assistance and access to higher education at an accredited college, university, or trade school.

Anna J. Cooper Scholarship Fund awards need-based grants to graduating seniors accepting full-time enrollment to cover textbooks and tuition deposit. The grant can be used to cover tuition expenses and related supplemental educational expenses such as books, lab fees, and select costs of living.

Awardees are selected through a rigorous evaluation process and are judged on criteria such as academics, attendance, and community engagement. Anna J. Cooper Scholarship Fund currently serves about 1,200 students enrolled at over 37 public high schools in the School District of Philadelphia.

The application is currently closed.
